1. Who we are

WORLDOPSY is an editorial media project covering personal development, culture, history, and curious questions about the world. The website is published by Gonga Germain, an individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel), operating under the trade name Skalape France (SIREN 882 622 590).

2. Information we receive

We receive personal information you choose to include when you email us, such as your email address, name, message, and any details needed to respond. Shopify and its service providers may also process technical information when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser and device information, and security or diagnostic data needed to deliver and protect the site.

WORLDOPSY does not currently offer customer accounts, checkout, paid subscriptions, or a newsletter signup.

3. Why we use it

• To answer messages, feedback, correction requests, and media inquiries.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the website, and diagnose technical issues.
• To comply with legal requirements and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Brevo PushOwl is connected to our Shopify store. Its Shopify app pixel may process storefront activity for marketing and web-push features only after you give consent to the marketing and analytics purposes in the Shopify cookie banner. If you decline those purposes, the pixel will not collect data for them. Real-time synchronization from Shopify to Brevo of customer, order, product, and product-variant data has been stopped. WORLDOPSY does not currently run a newsletter or send marketing campaigns. If these practices change, we will update this notice and the consent choices before activating non-essential tracking.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Shopify may use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to deliver, secure, and remember settings for the website. The Shopify cookie banner lets you manage optional cookies where applicable. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although disabling necessary cookies may affect site functionality.

5. Who may process information

Shopify hosts the website and processes information to provide and secure its platform. Brevo, the provider of PushOwl, may process storefront activity through its app pixel only when you have consented to the relevant marketing and analytics purposes. Email-service providers that host and route messages to our contact address may process that correspondence. We may disclose information where necessary to meet a legal obligation, protect the website or people’s rights, or respond to a request you make. We do not sell personal information.

Shopify and its service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, transfers are protected by the safeguards described in Shopify’s Data Processing Addendum. For more information, see Shopify’s Privacy Policy and subprocessor list. Brevo may retain information it processes under its own documented retention practices.

6. How long we keep information

We keep ordinary contact correspondence for up to 12 months after the last reply, then delete it or remove identifying details. We may keep information longer when required by law or when needed to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim. Shopify, Brevo, and email providers may retain technical or operational records under their own documented retention practices.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to receive a copy of information you provided. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. To make a request, email contact@worldopsy.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity and will respond as required by law.

If you are in France, you may also lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL).

8. Children

WORLDOPSY is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

9. YouTube and other external links

WORLDOPSY may link to its YouTube channel and other third-party websites. Following a link takes you to that provider, which handles information under its own privacy terms. We do not automatically load YouTube videos when you open a WORLDOPSY page.

10. Updates and contact
